While exploring a remote area, I stumbled upon three helpless puppies, abandoned in the middle of nowhere. It was a heartbreaking sight. The first puppy I saw was hiding behind a rock, looking frail and struggling to walk with his bloated belly and skinny legs. He seemed very sick and only managed to lick a little bit of the food I offered. My heart broke as I saw him suffering, his body covered in ticks, with nowhere to go.
As I held him, I continued searching the area and discovered two more puppies. These little ones seemed healthier but were just as hungry. They wagged their tails and ate eagerly when I offered them some food. I knew I had to save them. I quickly got a cage from my car and carefully placed them inside to take them to safety.
At the vet, it was clear the first puppy needed urgent care. His swollen belly was filled with fluid, a condition called ascites. The vet drained the fluid and started him on medication. The road to recovery would be long, but I was determined to help these poor souls. I pray for their safety and well-being, and I’ll do everything I can to give them a better life.
