Opal discovered a mysterious egg by the sidewalk and decided to rescue it when no mother appeared. After carefully bringing it home and peeking inside, she found it was a baby duckling named Starlight. As Starlight was domesticated and couldn’t return to the wild, Opal’s family adopted two more ducklings, Stormie and Rain, to keep her company. The ducklings quickly bonded and now enjoy a happy life with a duck pool, thanks to Opal’s dedication and care.
