In a heartfelt mission to rescue a colony of feral cats, we faced unexpected challenges and moments of deep sorrow. Six kittens were found under a porch, scared and fragile. As we worked to ensure their safety, tragedy struck—their mothers, poisoned by rat bait, passed away shortly after being trapped.
These six kittens, though young and vulnerable, were given the care they needed. One kitten, Finch, sadly did not survive, but his short life was filled with love. The others, despite testing positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), are now thriving.
FeLV+ cats can live long, happy lives with proper care, and these kittens are no different. Though their adoption journey has been slow due to misunderstandings about FeLV, they are ready to bring joy to a loving home. We continue our efforts to educate others about FeLV, showing that these cats deserve the same love and happiness as any other.
