Today is my birthday, but I’m feeling really down because no one has acknowledged it with birthday wishes. I woke up hoping to see some heartfelt messages or hear someone say “Happy Birthday!” but the day has been strangely quiet. It feels a bit lonely when you expect some love and attention on your special day, but no one seems to remember. I know people get busy, but I can’t help feeling a bit sad.
