Apollo, a scruffy feral cat, had never encountered humans and was terrified when his rescuers found him. His eyes were severely infected, leaving him nearly blind and highly cautious. When they finally managed to capture him, he was too scared to resist but allowed himself to be handled, sensing the care in his rescuers’ touch.

In the beginning, Apollo was housed in a small crate to ease his fear and allow close monitoring. He started treatments for mange and slowly got used to the routine. His rescuers had to bathe him daily as he struggled with finding the litter box. These daily baths were pivotal—they helped build trust between Apollo and his caretakers.

Over time, Apollo blossomed! His crystal-blue eyes began to shine as he healed, and he grew comfortable enough to snuggle on the bed, even asking for “tickles.” His rescuers feared he might lose his eyesight entirely, but Apollo defied the odds and retained vision in one eye, allowing him to play and interact joyfully. Now, Apollo is a happy, healthy member of his rescuers’ family—a true transformation from feral to fabulous!
